Olga Kostritzky

Senior Faculty

Olga Kostritzky is a world recognized ballet teacher/mistress. For twenty years, she served as a faculty member at The School of American Ballet at Lincoln Center, the official school of The New York City Ballet. During her tenure at SAB, Kostritzky created and developed The Boys Program. Earlier this year she was the coach for the ballet dancers in Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan and also appeared in the film. Since 2009 she has been Guest Teacher/Coach for the Novosibirsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre, directed by Igor Zelensky. During the 2007 - 2008 seasons Kostritzky was Ballet Teacher/Mistress for the acclaimed Morphoses, The Wheeldon Company. Kostritzky also served as the Ballet Teacher/Mistress during the 2007 - 2008 season of The Vail International Dance Festival. In 2004 and 2005 she was a teacher for Benjamin Millepied at the Choreographic Institute in East Hampton, New York.

Recipient of The Senate State of New York Award for her contribution to the arts, Kostritzky also received the Mae L. Wien Award for her distinguished service to the art of ballet. Known for extreme attention to detail, she is highly respected as a teacher/coach, among her peers, students, and dancers.
