Dr. Brian Kittredge

Men's Chorus, Musicianship, Small Ensemble

Dr. Kittredge is currently serving as the Director of Choral Activities at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he conducts the University Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, University Chorus, and teaches courses in conducting and music education. Over the past year, Kittredge has led the UAB choirs in several successful performances, includind a premier recording of K; Lee Scott's Gloria for Morningstar Publications, the ACDA Collegiate Choral Festival, and premiere concerts in New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Georgia. Kittredge has served on the conducting faculty at Louisiana State University, where he led the LSU Schola Cantorum in several concerts, including a performance of Verdi’s Requiem with the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra and the LSU Acappella Choir in 2010. Prior to his appointment at LSU, Kittredge taught middle and high school at the Louise S. McGehee School in New Orleans, LA, where his choirs appeared in performances at state, regional, and international festivals. While in Louisiana, he served as the ACDA Women’s Choir Repertoire and Standards Chair; He is a frequent clinician and guest conductor, and has judged choral festivals in Alabama, Louisiana, and New York. Kittredge is currently serving as the Youth and Student Activities Coordinator for the Alabama ACDA Chapter. He holds degrees from Louisiana State University (D.M.A.), the Eastman School of Music (M.M), and Mansfield University (B.M.).
