School of Ballet Sample Daily Schedule
Classes are held Monday- Saturday (with only morning classes on Saturdays).
A typical schedule may look like the following:
8:00am- Get ready for the day! Breakfast at the dining hall and catching the bus to the National Museum of Dance
9:30-11:00am- Ballet Technique
11:00-12:00pm- Pointe, Variations or Men's Class
12:00-1:30pm- Return to Skidmore College for Lunch, some rest before afternoon classes and catching the bus to the National Museum of Dance
2:00-3:00pm- Afternoon Class #1- Which may consist of Variations, Jazz, Turns and Jumps, Strength and Conditioning, Pilates, Pas de Deux
3:00-4:00pm- Afternoon Class #2- Which may consist of Variations, Jazz, Turns and Jumps, Strength and Conditioning, Pilates, Pas de Deux
4:00-6:15pm- Dinner and free time. Students may visit Skidmore College's Pool,the Tang Museum or yes, even do laundry!
6:30pm -Bed Check- Performance and Recreational Time. Students will attend performances at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center or participate in a full recreational program designed by the NYSSSA Staff (events include Spa Nights, Movie nights, scavenger hunts and health and wellness programs). Lights out to get ready for the next day!
