School of Ballet Opening Day

Student registration for the School of Ballet will take place on July 3, between the hours of 2:00 and 4:00 PM. Students and their families should first register at Case Center to obtain their room assignment and student ID Card, then proceed to Wait Hall to finish registration with NYSSSA Staff. An orientation meeting for all students will be held after dinner in the lounge.  

ALL STUDENTS MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN LEOTARDS (because of anticipated high temperatures during July, you will want to be well-prepared), AT LEAST TWO PAIRS OF BALLET SHOES, AND AT LEAST THREE PAIR OF POINTE SHOES FOR THE TERM -- more if possible. If you have character shoes, bring them; if not, you must bring a pair of sturdy, low-heeled shoes for character class. Boys will need one pair of jazz shoes. Please bring a yoga or Pilates mat or a heavy towel for class. For the Final Demonstration ladies should bring a black leotard, pink tights and a black skirt and gentleman should bring black footed tights and a clean white t-shirt.
