Students auditioning for the School of Choral Studies, whether recorded or live, must prepare a solo of your choice in addition to the required selection (found at the link below) and two scales: one major scale (ascending and descending) in the key of your choice and one melodic minor scale (ascending and descending) in the key of your choice. Click here for the 2017 Solo Selection.
Vocalists auditioning live must make their own arrangements for piano accompaniment. A piano will be available for your accompanist. If pre-recorded accompaniment is to be used, you must provide your own playback system. Students are strongly advised to provide a copy of their solo for use by the adjudicator during live auditions.
