Danton is a veteran stage, film and television actor. He has performed in all facets of media from the feature film Eight Men Out to the television show Law & Order: Criminal Intent as well as One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest on Broadway. He has also collaborated with The Steppenwolf Theatre Company of Chicago, twenty years acting experience with distinction and creating new works with the legendary Circle Repertory Company of New York, Broadway and off-Broadway theatre acting as well as regional theatre acting. He has appeared in a dozen films, and twenty television shows — all in collaboration with some of the seminal film and stage artists of the day.
Danton is also an accomplished teacher. Attending Colombia Universities Acting for Film Directors program that teaches MFA directing students about how actors work; what they need from directors; and acting techniques. He was supervised by Academy award winning director Milos Foreman. He has taught at HB studio in New York where he taught beginning and intermediate level film and television classes. The William Esper Studio where he taught film acting in situation comedy using a multi-cam format and also with single camera. He has also taught at the Maggie Flanagan studio in New York where he taught film acting for students with no film experience.
Danton has also directed plays for the Circle Rep Lab, Kranes Theatre and the HERE ARTS center in New York. Danton also received a Tony Award for the best revival: in the ensemble of One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest. He is a two-time Drama Desk ensemble winner for Balm In Gilead, directed by John Malkovich and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest directed by Terry Kinney.
