School of Visual Arts Opening Day

Student registration will take place from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, July 2. We cannot accommodate early arrivals; consequently no one will be able to register prior to Saturday, July 2nd at 1:00 PM. Students should report to McGinnies Hall. Transportation to and from the School at the beginning and end of the program is the responsibility of each individual student and parent(s).  A shuttle to the Fredonia campus will be provided for students arriving in Buffalo by train or plane. Pick-up at the Buffalo-Niagara Airport will be at approximately 3:00 PM, followed by pick-up at the Amtrak (Depew) Train Station at approximately 3:30 PM. Please let the NYSSSA office know as soon as possible, but no later than May 30, if you will be requesting the shuttle service (518-474-8773 or nysssa@nysed.gov). Students who will be arriving in Buffalo after the shuttle pick-up times (3pm Airport or 3:30 Depew Train Station) should plan to use the connecting bus service via Coach USA to the Fredonia campus. Coach USA can be reached at 1-(800)-352-0979 for fares and schedules. Please let us know if you plan to travel from Buffalo to Fredonia via Coach USA since this bus service may get you to the campus after student registration hours.

A $20 Key Deposit and a SEPARATE $25 Room Deposit  is required at registration. Separate checks should be made out to SUNY Fredonia. The deposits will be returned to you at the end of the program after you have turned in your key and a room inspection is completed.
